About Joe Leatherman

Joe, a licensed interior designer in the State of Maryland, has been practicing design, space planning and project management for over 25 years.  In addition to earning a BS in Interior Design from Drexel University, Joe has also been designated a Specialist in Historic Preservation by Goucher College.  After working in a variety of capacities for award-winning design firms in Baltimore, he set up his own practice in 2000.  Though the bulk of his professional work is in the restaurant and hospitality fields, Joe is equally at home working with residential renovations and additions or with commercial offices or retail interior spaces.

Whether a project is large or small, traditional or contemporary, Joe is a problem solver, creating thoughtful solutions that meet the client’s needs. His personal love of historic preservation and fine arts can help infuse a project with an enriched perspective and awareness.   All aspects of the project—planning, development of style, and budget—are addressed in a cohesive, professional manner.  The result is a balance of aesthetics and functionality for the client.
